Putting faces to names: 617 Squadron
Photographs of all 617 Squadron aircrew that flew the famous dams raid in ’43 appear on the BBC website. This is a tremendous feat of research to find photographs of them all, as there is simply no way of knowing the names of most airmen in wartime photographs.
